  1. How is QBO "plus" only $34 for you? It’s about $48 for me! (£38) I guess your video is at least 2 years old..

  2. Note with QBO: If you want a most basic feature – marking an expense as billable and invoicing it back to a client – you must buy a premium plan with Quickbooks that gives you hundreds of features you don’t care about. It’s like a ruse – such a basic feature "billable expenses" singled out to push you into a higher plan…

  3. if you are mature enough to understand then you use quickbooks desktop on a dell r420 server with windows server 2016 or 2019 on it and host the file in your network there is no better approach for serious and complex accounting like manufactures or whole sellers or any medium sized company, quickbooks online cant stand a chance against quickbooks desktop in terms of robustness

  4. its crazy how at the time of this video Quickbooks was only $35 for the top plan…now 2 years laters its 10x that at $200! smh

  5. Is there any way you can help me with a call ill pay you, I cant find a software that allows me to have a POS, INVENTORY AND ACCOUNTING in the same place

  6. A big problem with Quickbooks is that it’s very easy to set up, but often WRONG. You can go along for ages without knowing it’s wrong and you’re in a world of hurt. It’s too expensive, and mainly pushed because accountants get a large residual income for signing you up.

  7. Wave is free, but a year or so ago decided to stop supporting UK businesses. Quickbooks is not the most user-friendly in my opinion.

If you’re after a fully-fledged accounting package I’d go with Xero. In case an invoicing and expense tracking tool (light accounting) is enough, I’d go with InvoiceBerry as it has less of a learning curve and is more affordable, too.

  8. Quickbooks is horrible for small business. Super expensive and you’re constantly being forced to change security which in turn causes its own problems. Try cancelling is a major hassle. They will do everything to force you to stay on the phone with a guy you can barely understand. YUCK…

  9. Thanks a lot, Marcus. Great and very instructive video. Do you know any accounting software that you can carry with a memory stick. The ones in your video are probably all on the internet Cloud. I think we need to consider more decentralised and individual software that we can own and use without being on the internet. What do you think? Thank you again.

  10. Hi Marcus, Thanks for such an informative video. Do you know which of these software systems handle multiple businesses in multiple countries and currencies? I’ve got a business in the USA and used Waveapps, but I will be creating a new one in France and Waveapps doesn’t support French businesses. Thanks.

  11. I’ve had Xero for 4+ years. XERO WILL SCREW YOU BIG TIME and they don’t care about you at all..

XERO has big problems with logging in to your account. Their system randomly LOCKS you OUT of your account for no reason with their 2FA Requirements.

Worst part is: THERE IS NO STAFF TO HELP YOU! YOU CANNOT CALL ANYONE.
    NO PHONE #. ONLY EMAIL

XERO EMPLOYS THE DUMBEST, MOST USELESS, INCOMPETENT, CHEAP LABOR ON THE PLANET! XERO support employees have no common sense. ITS LIKE TALKING TO A BRICK WALL with them!

They can’t even answer the most basic questions or help you in any way.

If you don’t have your authenticator app on your device that you used to open the account, you are SCREWED!

They will lock you out of your account for MONTHS. YOU CANNOT ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT and yet they KEEP DEBITING YOUR CREDIT CARD EACH MONTH!

YOU HAVE TO OPEN A FRAUD DISPUTE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD/BANK TO DISPUTE THE CHARGES… (Which adds more headaches for you because your bank will disable your Card and now you have to get a brand new credit card in the mail and update the new # on ALL of your other services you use!

    WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!

  12. QBO is like Windows, it is time to move on. QBO is always changing, it all of a sudden slides work. Xero is straight forward and easy.

  13. I have multiple companies. is there a software that I can buy to handle them without having to pay multiple subscriptions?

  14. we just need a software to manage payments/receipts from multiple sources and coding them to various cost centers. We do need multiple data fields to add detailed information. What software do you recommend. Do quickbooks support multiple data fields to be added to payments?

  15. As a 1st time business owner how can I get spreed sheets without using a accountant software for mow? I am a beginner just starting out. Thank you!

  16. When buying quickbooks online, after installing the software does it has other currencies like Botswana. Or I’m going to need an IT technician to help?

  17. Interesting comparison of top accounting software! I’ve used InvoiceBerry for 4 years, and its ease of use and efficiency for managing invoices is unmatched. Definitely worth considering for small businesses.

  18. Thanks a lot for this video, I am using Vypar, an Indian software but it misses automatic profit distribution at the end of month among partners, don’t have drawing option, no option for provision for bad debts.
Moreover purchase of an asset is missing, depreciation of assets is not available. Can you please suggest a software which covers these things?

  19. I just want to be able to pay for good accounting software up front and not have to pay recurring monthly/yearly payments. One payment and done. Like in the old days.

  20. I’m selling products and service and wouldn’t mind also being able to track inventory. Which one do you suggest?

  21. The problem is when your clients change. I might have 10 clients at one time, but over time i might have a couple hundred, so you end up expensive.

  22. Avid watcher of your youtube clips! looking to digitize a biz across the board from implementing an accounting software, CRM, POS and inventory management software… how would you suggest we got about selecting an end to end retail management software? given we are dealing with perishables , I wonder how much I should favor software tailor made for that space (i.e., to help us better handle spoilage) vs. industry leaders like the ones you mentioned? also, given my desire for these software to speak to each other without manual intervention, is there a setup you would recommend?
