Which Headset Noise Cancelling Mics Work Best in a Coffee Shop?
In this video, we test multiple headsets in a very busy and noisy coffee shop to see how well the noise-canceling microphones perform. This is a very common remote work environment and we’ve had several requests to test headsets here. Which headsets or earbuds performed the best? What other headsets would you like us to test? Let us know in the comments!

What headphones cancel babe noise or babe crying for working from home .i don’t know if i should get the poly or the zone 950?
Just what I needed!!
Also Epos very impressive very clear Audio no distortion excellent
Thank you so much. I need to get one but didn’t know. This is super helpful. 😊
EPOS 1000 vs POLY C3200 , which is better?
Wow thanks for this video I hope you make a kagillion dollars for this
Most of these are absolute garbage, huh?
Amazing video, thank you!
Thank you sir. You are truly amazing personal and indeed very reliable for us for decision making.
Great, now do it with proper over-ear headsets, and not stuff you’d find in a call center lol
Such a nice energy! And very helpful video
About the Poly Voyager 2: The Poly software is very wonky and often causes Windows to not be able to use the device after sleeping for a while, and to recover functionality you have to force it to close from task manager (I have tested this in two computers). Having it closed means you lose some functionality. Also, the frame is VERY FRAGILE for such an expensive headset.
Other than that, it has great microphone noise cancelling, decent ANC, and with the dongle you have a huge range of movement. I have easily moved 12-14 mts away from my computer while not losing audio quality.
Literally the best content for this topic, you are awesome more of this!
Thank you for doing this. This is what I have been looking for 💯 .. it was the best
Does anyone have a recommendation for the best noise cancellation headsets for working from home that is compatible with TEAMs??
Thank youuuuu!!!!!!
Ive got some marshall Iv headphones….was thinking connecting a 3.5mm cable with inbuilt mic..
.do you know any good external mics i can connect the is good for noise reduction?
Would really like to see someone put the Jabra 85 to the test! I know it’s cost prohibitive but there are almost zero good real world reviews of it.
I just realized, are these all wireless?.. I don’t want wireless. I prefer corded to reduce EMFs.. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I really hate I found this after I purchased the blue parrot 450 headset 😢
This is the content I need
EPOS Impact and Poly Voyager 5200 UC were my favourite. Really amazing video, just what I needed.
Thank you so much for doing this! My faves "sound" like JPL element, Epos Impact, Poly Voyager, Jabra Engage.
This is exactly what I have needed! It is so hard to get an idea of how much sound is blocked while still allowing the mic to be clear. I am going to try the Poly Voyager 5200. Have you tried any with the removable mic?
You’re doing God’s work. Thanks so much!
I have adhd and work in a call center doing high-end sales. I need to focus but become easily over-stimulated and extremely anxious due to other callers around me. The voyager focus is my savior. Not only does it block quite a bit of noise but also the Bluetooth allows me to walk away from my desk, if necessary, for even more distraction elimination.
Are there any budget friendly Noise cancellation mic headphones for someone starting work from home. I don’t have $200 to spend.
Great video!
Thank you for doing this!!!
this video deserves more views! Should be a million by now. Honestly one of the best reviews for IRL testing of these headset mics
Are all these classified as noise canceling headphones as well? Not just the noise canceling background for the mic.
Dude thanks so much for this. If I didn’t watch this I would of regretted my purchase. I ended buying the poly voyager 5200. Thanks again!!
Excellent video brother. Wishing you success in your channel.
The iPhone mics lol
Wow, really great review. I have been using the Poly Voyager 5200 UC for years. I checked my purchase history and I think I have gone through over a dozen throughout the years (I just wesr them out 🙂 based on this I am gonna keep going down that path with what works. Thanks for such a great review.
Finally a direct to the point review!
I like the style of the Jabra Voyager 5200 but using it for 8/hrs a day not sure how it would hold up without a spare battery. The Epos, Jabra, Poly all have fantastic mics… have to give the edge to Sennheiser/Epos they make the best mics without losing too much natural tone to compression. I’m looking for something light with good background noise filtering… but I like the idea of being able to take the headphones away from the base and still use them?! I like Jabra but I’m not sure if their build quality is up to Poly/HP. They have the best software hands down from what I’ve seen, especially being able to use your phone and adjust it without having to have a program running on a secure admin network that’s restricted and may require some of that PC processing power. I like the idea of the Poly Savi 8245 with the spare battery, but finding OEM battery cells seems to be tough now that HP acquired them. Unfortunately the new 8445 looks like it came from AliExpress and a 12yr old designed it, very cheap and they took out the battery storage in the base because they slapped a tiny (looks like a flip phone) screen that doesn’t serve a functional purpose IMO.
Thanks for very helpful great reviews. I think I like the EPOS Impact 1000, JPL Element BT-500D, Poly Voyager Focus 2, and Jabra Engage 55. Seeing the prices, I think Poly Voyager Focus 2 wins 😄
Thanks for this amazing real world comparison! Really helpful!
I often hear the term "Active Noise Cancelling" but I’m never sure if it means the microphone NC or the headphone NC… Is there a different naming for both of these for headsets?
And it would be greatly beneficial to also always hear about how much you can / cannot hear your surroundings when wearing each headset (microphone + headphone NC each), for I would like to find out which one of the headsets has great ANC for both mic and headphones. 😊
All the best! 🍀
how did you get the poly focus 2 to noise cancel on the microphone? We tested it with a vacuum running in the background and you can still hear it. Even hear me typing.
Is there any gamerheadsets with good noisecancelling microphones?
Incredibly useful, thanks!
That Epos impact 1000 is honestly incredible
Very helpful! Thank you.
Does the Logitech Zone True Wireless Earbuds have on-ear mute and unmute feature when on Teams calls?

This is really useful. I was looking at the Poly headset, but the EPOS really impressed me.
thank you so much
Are there any over ear headphones with noise cancelling microphones? All of these on ear headphones look really uncomfortable for long periods of time
The best freakin video! Thank youuuuuuu!!
